About Me
Welcome to This Lean Journey! I’m Rachel, a 28 year old from England. My husband and I left England in January 2010 to begin a life of travelling, working along the way to ensure we don’t have to go back to England and enter the ‘real world’ anytime soon.
So far our travels have taken us to Thailand, South Korea and Malaysia. We are currently teaching English in South Korea. We will leave Korea in February 2012 and head to Indonesia for six months. After Indonesia we will travel to France, Italy, South America and no doubt visit other countries along way.
Apart from travelling I’m passionate about keeping fit, as well as learning languages (I’ve been learning Indonesian and Italian since January 2011), eating chocolate (actually anything sweet) and the occasional glass of wine.
On this website I will be documenting what exercises have worked for me in the past and are currently working for me whilst travelling. I will also give healthy eating tips which are suitable for on the road. Everything I write are my thoughts and opinions based on the experiences I have had; I am not a trained professional.
I really enjoy my food so my goal is to be able to eat what I want; whether it is chocolate, carbs or drinking beer, and still stay fit and healthy. I believe that with exercise this can be achieved.
I look forward to you joining me on my journey to staying slim and healthy while on the road. I hope you find this blog useful and motivating. I welcome any comments, tips and advice you have, so please contact me.
